Y- Strainer 60s.mp4
Y-strainers are so named due to their distinctive 'Y' shape. They are designed to remove unwanted solids from fluids (liquids or gases) via a filtering element; this not only ensures the smooth functioning of downstream equipment but also minimises maintenance interventions and extends the life of the system.
A Y-strainer allows for easy cleaning and maintenance due to its design. The 'Y' shape facilitates a low pressure drop, thus maintaining efficient flow rates in the system. Y-strainers can be customised with various types and sizes of mesh or perforated screens, in order to cater for specific industrial requirements. They can also be manufactured from corrosion or erosion resistant materials as required. For all of these reasons, Y-strainers are used in many engineering industries.

The gas needs oil mixed with it, also if you’ve ever torn down a car engine you’d notice in the combustion chamber there really isn’t rust, that’s because if there is any water or other liquid that gets in it’ll be burnt and exhausted out
